A Park to discover extraordinary riches to live and dream without moderation.  Located in the Alpes Maritimes and the Alpes de Haute Provence, the Mercantour Park invites you to discover its unique sites and beautiful scenery in an unspoilt and unusual nature of the sharp contrasts of its location one hour from the Riviera Cote d’ azur. Paradise for hikers, the Mercantour National Park is one of the wildest of France. The wolf has naturally made his return from Italy in 1992, is a threat to cattle.

Bed & Breakfast accomodation near the Mercantour valleys

The Parc covers 6 valleys : Var-Cians, Tinée, Vésubie, Roya-Bévéra (06)  Verdon, Ubaye (04) : the choice is yours

From our bed and breakfast riviera, we will make your trip with wild and secret trails unknown to tourists, so you can share our love for the Alps d’azur, their valleys to preserve biodiversity and their villages: Saint Martin Vésubie , Saint Delmas le Selvage  or so picturesque hamlets: Boréon Bouseyas, whose very name makes us dream.

From Tinée to Ubaye passing the Col de la Bonnette: discover the flora and fauna of the Mercantour

The Bonette Road is one of the highest in Europe and culminates at 2802 m. Open May to October, it connects  Tinée to Ubaye through sublime panoramas and reveals breathtaking views. In a spectacular landscape where alpine meadow gradually gives way to boulders and patches of snow as it rises to the heights, you will rub sheep, goats and shepherds come in for summer transhumance. In the pastures (here called “vacheries”) you will taste the “Tomme” from cow or goat and the  fresh “brousse”. After passing through forests of pine and larch, you will see the chamois and ibex and you will hear the marmots whistling among the rhododendrons. Flora Mercantour contains more than 2000 species of flowers, some very rare: Turk’s cap lilies, saxifrage, phlox, houseleek, bellflower, gentian, edelweiss offering a multicolored palette in the spring.

We invite you to discover them through some pictures that we have reported.
